The invasion of Afghanistan was definitely planned before 9-11.
U.S. diplomats announced at a quiet meeting in Berlin in July 2001
that Bush would attack Afghanistan by October of that year.

The authors of these articles, written soon after 9-11, were
under the impression that warning at this meeting of the
invasion, conveyed to bin Laden via Pakistan and the Taliban,
"provoked" him to carry out the 9-11 attacks. However, we now
know, from the defense stand-down, Pentagon damage details, and
many other pieces of evidence, that 9-11 was perpetrated by

The real reasons for invading Afghanistan were to build
the Unocal pipeline to exploit Caspian Sea oil deposits
(specifically needed to bail out a failing Enron power plant in
Dabhol, India), restart heroin production in the area (which the
Taliban had stopped), and terrorize the world with a capricious
display of mass murder by the U.S. government and military.

I figured this out before 911 using internet, it's so obvious!

The real reasons for invading Afghanistan were to build
the Unocal pipeline to exploit Caspian Sea oil deposits
(specifically needed to bail out a failing Enron power plant in
Dabhol, India), restart heroin production in the area (which the
Taliban had stopped), and terrorize the world with a capricious
display of mass murder by the U.S. government and military.

( they pissed off the right one for the job, bin Laden, of attacking NYcity, and knew it was going to happen. Haven't Americans realized this yet???)

Thanks for the comments. Don't forget the heroin and the incidental disarming of a foreign State. It's about that and the extreme profitability built into this system for those who are allowed to 'contract' for the right to cut up our tax nickels for their own pockets. I see a subsidiary of Haliburton just go caught overcharging our own military again.
Did you know that Bush and the military were actually selling contracts for bridges and the like by asking who wanted to re-build X bridge if it is blown up? There was a Time or Newsweek article I read on it and shivered from the dastardly evil these people are to the human race. Endless war is the only option under such leadership, which means they will continue to take our tax dollars, decrease local services, grants and loans, while giving more to their friends and the Citizens of these Nations who openly declare how they loathe us. Ridiculous. How can anyone defend a vote for Bush given these facts?
