Unusual Search Engines

What Do You Recommend?

I search the net constantly, in search of eclectic information. Search engines are THE tool used by all of us to get to that new information we seek. I have a list of search engines for my web site, and would like to know of the most unusual, eclectic, different, and useful search engine(s) you recommend for use. I get tired of the pop-ups and limited results of some of the major engines and seldom use them anymore.

In making a list, I have found many I never even heard of and now realize there are probably thousands out there. Hope you can help me find the one's no one else has thought of or found yet. Any search engine links list is also welcome.

Newsweek just published an article on Google and its rise to fame. However, they did accredit smaller startup search engine sites.

Thank you for the links. I will go check them out nw for addition. I am always adding new engines to my list and was taking apart colossus when you posted this.
