Diana was pregnant, report reveals

PRINCESS Diana was pregnant when she died, according to a senior police source in France.

But the source - who has seen all the documents relating to the princess's death - dismissed suggestions there was a conspiracy to murder Diana in 1997.
The source said medical reports that showed the Princess was pregnant were shelved and ordered never to be revealed to the public.

"I can tell you that she was pregnant," the source told Britain's Independent on Sunday newspaper.

The source indicated the cover-up was to spare the embarrassment of her family.

But those medical records may now be re-examined as part of the first British investigation into Diana's death, beginning next month.

French investigators decided Diana's pregnancy was not relevant to the cause of her death so French judge Herve Stephan never mentioned the fact when he finished his two-year investigation into the princess's death.

Friends of Diana and her butler, Paul Burrell, have strenuously denied suggestions she was expecting a third child at the time of her death.

The revelations will fuel conspiracy theories that the car crash -- which killed Diana, her companion Dodi Fayed and the driver in the early hours of August 31, 1997 -- was no accident.

But the source revealed the investigation dismissed any suggestion Diana was murdered.

He said the file pointed clearly to an accident, caused in part by the fact that chauffeur Henri Paul had been drinking heavily.

He was speaking after a British coroner announced that he would hold inquests on Diana and Dodi, beginning on January 6.

Medical reports from the hospital where Diana died may be included among the 6000 pages of documents from the French investigation that will be delivered to British royal coroner Michael Burgess next month.

Rumours that Diana was pregnant have circulated among royal watchers and have been seized on by wilder conspiracy theorists as a motive for her murder. One of the theories that has circulated during the past six years was that the royal family arranged for the "accident" because it feared Diana was pregnant to Dodi.

Buckingham Palace, according to one theory, hired MI6, the CIA and the French intelligence service to organise Diana's death because it did not want a Muslim linked to the royal family.

The police source in France rejected all such theories.

There has also been speculation about the time it has taken to call a British inquest, now routine when a British citizen dies abroad.

The coroner has said he could not open the hearings until he received the French file once legal proceedings taken by Dodi's father Mohammed al-Fayed were completed in France.

Among many conten tious pieces of evidence the coroner will have to evaluate is the letter written by Diana to Mr Burrell 10 months before her death, in which she predicts a car crash.

Wow, it took them 4 years to decide that she was pregnant? Amazing, and even if she was, how would that change anything? GCJ

The whole story has been largely exagareted by the english tabloids and fueled by Al Fayed ego. The english monarchy is getting increqsingly pressured regarding its highest members, specialy on the sexual aspect. (Is Charles Gay ?, Is Will smoking pots ?,...) Who cares ? Let the familly go on witht the death of Diana would be the only decent thing to do. Whatever they are king or butler, they deserve respect for their dead.

No offence, but I thing it`s a pointless story.

It is ALMOST a pointless story, agreed. It definitely falls outside the main thrust of my own conspiracy research, and I could really care less for any king, queen mum or the fools who adore them, anyway. Still, it appears there was an act of murder in this case and that Di was pregnant is relevant to the story. There is a future king who lives in denial of the facts surrounding this case, and I believe, as the Kennedy children found, one cannot let this sleeping dog lie. The day will come when he'll be made aware of the hidden facts of this case, and it may well affect his outlook on his family and his role in perpetuating that family's history. The fact that Lady Di wrote of the conspiracy to have her murdered months before the identical event occured, is not coincidence and we all know it, some just preferring to live in denial. If we respect her memory, we should insist on justice. I would do so for my own family, and would say "shame, shame, on anyone who would say, just let sleeping dogs lie." More to come on this conspiracy, so it goes in the blog of 'conspiracy-history-news' which is what this Blog does. Thanks for the comments.

Its a shame that some poeple's private lives are made to be a topic of public debate, I guess thats the price you pay for being famous. Omaha High

I don't understand what you mean 'Omaha Hi'. The article is discussing a note written by Lady Diana months before her death and given to a confidante for publication in the event she died EXACTLY AS SHE DID. She has no life now, for she may have been murdered by the next King of England. This is newsworthy and not gossip.

I wasn't the bloody father, i can assure you.

Who was this source? Just wondering because I saw an interview with the medical examiner that performed Di's autopsy. I remember it clearly because he said something to the effect of "I held her uterus in my hand. I can assure you that she was not pregnant."

Some tabloids had snapped a photo of her in a bikini and she had a little "bump" of a stomach. Immediately they jumped to "She's pregnant!" Guess what guys, woman can retain up to 5lbs of fluid during menstruation or while on antibiotics, steroids or any other of a number of drugs. You can be bloated and look like you are in early pregnancy.

It is a good thing that you put the word conspiracy in your blog site title. Conspiracy is about all I ever see coming from you. Your allegations rarely ever hold water. I ask for the source and then the thread dies.
on Apr 22, 2004
The source is the linked article Jilluser. As to allegations not holding water, which one? The one about Kerry would be nominee; the one about Bush won't be re-elected; the one about 9/11 was a conspiracy involving many besides the alleged hijackers who still have not been produced, except for un-burned passports that showed up on the ground after the event in the middle of burned waste? Which one Jilluser?

I give information, some of it turns out to be not so kosher, but it is information the 'controlled-media' will not or does not put out.
It doesn't matter to me who believes it, just that the information is made available to them to decide for themselves, on a fully-informed and rational basis.

I mean would Britain NOT say Di was killed by some accident? C'mon. The lady wrote a note predicting the exact form of death she'd be subjected to and asking for attention in event it occured. Who is naive Jilluser ? Those who question authority or those who stick their head in the sand and refuse to face facts. The world is a corrupt place and run by largely corrupt people. Don't be so shocked to learn this reality, but investigate it for yourself. It will save you the pain of having to defend the wrong position, as those who thought some guy took ten flying lessons (that NO ONE ever noticed) and then made a jet do 5-8 G's and hit a building like a pin-point hit, first time out.

You make me laugh. So silly, the status quo thinkers.

P.S.- This little article was just a passing news item when I put it up, and only for information. It still gets hits to this date and I never even bothered with the Lady Di thing till now. Thanks for putting it back in the forum list again.
